So right now I'm in the running for Garland FD and Dallas FR (Fire Prevention Officer). I just took the Dallas written exam this morning and filled out the pre-polygraph paperwork while I was there. Now I've got to get the background check paperwork done quickly, since it's due on November 16th. I actually don't have a clue what my score is, and won't find out until next week whether or not I passed.
I haven't heard back about Garland yet, but I don't expect to until sometime later this month. Hopefully soon though.
I put in a 12 hour overnight shift at Sunnyvale Station 1 last Friday - we didn't catch any calls. Maybe we will next time I do an overnight shift.
